HQL of Hibernate Query Language is de objectgeoriënteerde querytaal van het Hibernate Framework. HQL lijkt erg op SQL, behalve dat we objecten gebruiken in plaats van tabelnamen, waardoor het dichter bij objectgeoriënteerd programmeren komt.
Hibernate Querytaal – HQL
HQL en hoofdlettergevoeligheid: HQL is hoofdletterongevoelig, behalve voor de namen van Java-klassen en variabelen. Dus
SeLeCT
is hetzelfde als sELEct
is hetzelfde als SELECT
, maar com.journaldev.model.Employee
is niet hetzelfde als com.journaldev.model.EMPLOYEE
. Enkele van de veelvoorkomende ondersteunde clausules in HQL zijn:
- HQL Van: HQL Van is hetzelfde als de select-clausule in SQL,

. - HQL Join: HQL ondersteunt inner join, left outer join, right outer join en full join. Bijvoorbeeld,

. In deze query moet de Employee-klasse een variabele genaamd address hebben. We zullen dit bekijken in de voorbeeldcode. - Aggregate Functies: HQL ondersteunt veelgebruikte aggregate functies zoals count(*), count(distinct x), min(), max(), avg() en sum().
- Expressies: HQL ondersteunt rekenkundige expressies (+, -, *, /), binaire vergelijkingsoperators (=, >=, <=, <>, !=, like), logische operaties (and, or, not), enzovoort.
- HQL ondersteunt ook order by- en group by-clausules.
- HQL ondersteunt eveneens subqueries, net als SQL queries.
- HQL ondersteunt DDL, DML en het uitvoeren van opgeslagen procedures.

Let op dat nadat de verwijderingsbewerking is uitgevoerd, verdere bewerkingen de gegevens van dat record niet tonen (het totaal van het salaris is 600). Ik draai echter de transactie terug, dus de gegevens in de tabel blijven ongewijzigd. Wijzig de code om de transactie te bevestigen en dit zal worden weerspiegeld in de database tabellen. Ik houd er niet van om veel HQL-query’s te gebruiken omdat, zoals je kunt zien, we voor tabeltoewijzingen moeten zorgen in onze code. Als we Session gebruiken om het Employee-object te verwijderen, zal het de record uit beide tabellen verwijderen. Je kunt het voorbeeldproject met HQL hieronder downloaden en meer voorbeelden proberen.
